Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MMP17 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MMP17 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MMP17 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MMP17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

HNSC, COAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where MMP17 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
