Across TCGA patient cohorts, MMP17 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,685 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MMP17-associated genes across cancer lineages are NEFH, SYNGR1, and PNPLA5. Each is linked with MMP17 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MMP17-to-partner and partner-to-MMP17 results are reported.
