Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MLH3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MLH3 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 12 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MLH3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MLH3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and LUAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, GBM, and LUAD are the cancer types where MLH3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
