Across TCGA patient cohorts, MLEC protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 14,355 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MLEC-associated genes across cancer lineages are SMC3, CASP8AP2, and PPIL4. Each is linked with MLEC in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MLEC-to-partner and partner-to-MLEC results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The scatter plot shows the strongest example, MLEC versus SMC3 in UCEC, with a Pearson correlation of -0.37.
