Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MKRN2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MKRN2 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MKRN2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MKRN2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, CESC, and UCEC are the cancer types where MKRN2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
