Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MKRN1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MKRN1 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher MKRN1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MKRN1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
OV, LIHC, and COAD are the cancer types where MKRN1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
