Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MKNK1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MKNK1 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MKNK1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MKNK1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, ESCA, and STAD are the cancer types where MKNK1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
