Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MKI67 RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MKI67 data layer compared with 12 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher MKI67 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MKI67 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and THYM show a favorable association.
ACC, KIRP, and MESO are the cancer types where MKI67 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
