Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIXL1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MIXL1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MIXL1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIXL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
SKCM are the cancer types where MIXL1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
