Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MISP3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MISP3 data layer compared with 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher MISP3 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MISP3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and HNSC show a favorable association.
STAD, HNSC, and LGG are the cancer types where MISP3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
