Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MISP RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MISP data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MISP RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MISP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and UCS show a favorable association.
LUAD, ACC, and PAAD are the cancer types where MISP RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
