Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIRLET7BHG RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIRLET7BHG’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where MIRLET7BHG RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIRLET7BHG is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, KIRP, and KICH are the cancer types where MIRLET7BHG tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
