Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR98 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR98 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher MIR98 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR98 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LIHC and STAD show a favorable association.

LUSC, PAAD, and MESO are the cancer types where MIR98 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
