Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR9-1HG mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MIR9-1HG data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), where higher MIR9-1HG mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR9-1HG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
PDAC and LSCC are the cancer types where MIR9-1HG mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
