Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR8073 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR8073’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where MIR8073 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR8073 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, THCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where MIR8073 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
