Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6891 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6891’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where MIR6891 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6891 is over-expressed in tumor.
KIRC, COAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where MIR6891 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
