Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6871 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6871’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where MIR6871 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6871 is over-expressed in tumor.
BLCA are the cancer types where MIR6871 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
