Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6865 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6865’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where MIR6865 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6865 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP, CHOL, and UCEC are the cancer types where MIR6865 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
