Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6816 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6816’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where MIR6816 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6816 is over-expressed in tumor.
BLCA are the cancer types where MIR6816 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
