Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6801 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6801’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where MIR6801 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6801 is over-expressed in tumor.
COAD, CHOL, and KIRC are the cancer types where MIR6801 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
