Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6514 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6514’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where MIR6514 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6514 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, CHOL, and LIHC are the cancer types where MIR6514 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
