MIR6505

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR6505 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR6505’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where MIR6505 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR6505 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KICH, and KIRP are the cancer types where MIR6505 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
