Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR5680 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR5680’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where MIR5680 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR5680 is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC are the cancer types where MIR5680 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
