Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR548U RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR548U’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MIR548U RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR548U is over-expressed in tumor.
STAD and BRCA are the cancer types where MIR548U tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
