Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR520D RNA is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR520D data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher MIR520D RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR520D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and SKCM show a favorable association.
STAD, KIRC, and TGCT are the cancer types where MIR520D RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
