Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR520A RNA is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR520A data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT), where higher MIR520A RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR520A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

TGCT, LIHC, and SARC are the cancer types where MIR520A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
