Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR5192 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR5192’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where MIR5192 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR5192 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

CHOL, BRCA, and THCA are the cancer types where MIR5192 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
