Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR518A1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR518A1 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher MIR518A1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR518A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA show a favorable association.
STAD, CESC, and ESCA are the cancer types where MIR518A1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
