Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR517B RNA is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR517B data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher MIR517B RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR517B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and ESCA show a favorable association.
STAD, TGCT, and LGG are the cancer types where MIR517B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
