Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR515-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR515-1 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MIR515-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR515-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and THCA are the cancer types where MIR515-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
