Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR4772 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR4772’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where MIR4772 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR4772 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, LUSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where MIR4772 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
