Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR4755 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR4755’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MIR4755 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR4755 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, KICH, and LUSC are the cancer types where MIR4755 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
