Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR4525 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR4525’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MIR4525 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR4525 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, THCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where MIR4525 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
