Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR4440 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR4440’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MIR4440 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR4440 is over-expressed in tumor.
STAD are the cancer types where MIR4440 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
