Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR33B RNA is linked to patient survival in 14 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR33B data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher MIR33B RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR33B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
LUSC, KIRP, and TGCT are the cancer types where MIR33B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
