Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR297 RNA is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR297 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MIR297 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR297 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRP, STAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where MIR297 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
