Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR23A RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR23A data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher MIR23A RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR23A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and STAD show a favorable association.
ACC, HNSC, and STAD are the cancer types where MIR23A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
