Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR204 RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR204 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher MIR204 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR204 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and OV show a favorable association.

LIHC, UCEC, and THYM are the cancer types where MIR204 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
