Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR186 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR186 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in brain lower grade glioma (LGG), where higher MIR186 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR186 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.
LGG, HNSC, and THCA are the cancer types where MIR186 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
