Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR129-2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR129-2 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher MIR129-2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR129-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BRCA, OV, and ESCA are the cancer types where MIR129-2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
