Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR129-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR129-1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MIR129-1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR129-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD show a favorable association.

KIRC, STAD, and SARC are the cancer types where MIR129-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
