Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR1289-2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR1289-2 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MIR1289-2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR1289-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

SKCM, ACC, and KIRC are the cancer types where MIR1289-2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
