Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR1285-2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MIR1285-2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where MIR1285-2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MIR1285-2 is over-expressed in tumor.
UCEC are the cancer types where MIR1285-2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
