Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR1283-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR1283-1 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MIR1283-1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR1283-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, BLCA, and STAD are the cancer types where MIR1283-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
