Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR124-2HG RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR124-2HG data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MIR124-2HG RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR124-2HG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC and LGG show a favorable association.

KIRP, LUSC, and COAD are the cancer types where MIR124-2HG RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
