Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MIR1202 RNA is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MIR1202 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MIR1202 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MIR1202 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and ESCA show a favorable association.
HNSC, LGG, and ESCA are the cancer types where MIR1202 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
