Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MID1IP1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MID1IP1 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MID1IP1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MID1IP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where MID1IP1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
