Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MICB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MICB data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher MICB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MICB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where MICB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
