Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MGMT Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MGMT data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher MGMT Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MGMT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
OV, BRCA, and ACC are the cancer types where MGMT Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
