Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MFSD8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MFSD8 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MFSD8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MFSD8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where MFSD8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
